Some people have been noticing that the PlayStation 3D Display bundle with Resistance 3 has been going under a bit of a face lift on some online retailers’ listings. Instead of the announced Resistance 3 bundle, there is a MotorStorm Apocalypse bundle that is being shown.
Insomniac games has come forward in a Tweet officially breaking the news:
For those asking about the 3DTV bundle:http://t.co/y0o9u4F — Motorstorm: Apocolypse replaced Resistance 3. Sorry for any inconvenience.
Many people were looking forward to having the latest sequel in the hit Insomniac/SCE franchise, Resistance, bundled with the 3D display vs MotorStorm Apocalypse which was released earlier this year during the Spring. Each 3D Display was originally to include one pair of 3D Glasses as well as an HDMI cable and a copy of Resistance 3 all for $499.99 (MSRP). Now MotorStorm Apocalypse will be the game included. While some core gamers that were looking forward to Resistance 3 in the bundle may not like the move, it does make the bundle a more family friendly one. How will the affect the adoption of the display? Will it affect it at all? Only time will tell.
How do you feel now about having MotorStorm bundled with the display instead of Resistance 3? Did you already preorder the Resistance bundle? If so how does this change make you feel? Sound off in your comments below.
[Update]: While it is true that the standard bundle will NOT include Resistance 3, GameStop seems to understand that one of the driving points for selling this 3D display was that it came with Resitance 3. So, if you pre-order from GameStop, you will not only get MotorStorm as part of the bundle, but you will get a bonus – Resistance 3. Will other retailers adopt this idea as well?

[Update 2]: It seems that Amazon has also decided to throw Resistance 3 in as a Pre-order bonus. Visit: Amazon for more details.
