It was only a matter of time and that time is now. During Nintendo’s special Nintendo Direct event last night, a new 3DS was revealed. That’s right, it’s time for an upgrade. Nintendo revealed the brand new Nintendo 3DS XL, a new version of Nintendo 3DS with 90 percent larger screens. The larger system will be available in North America on August 19, 2012 (same day as New Super Mario Bros. 2) for a price of $199.99.
The Nintendo 3DS XL will be available in Red and Blue to start off with. The system features a longer battery life and also comes with a 4 GB SD card. So for those who are interested, make sure to grab the new handheld with it hits North America this August.
So what do you think? Are you willing to upgrade if you already have a 3DS? If you do not have a 3DS would you get the XL over the regular? Sound off in the comments below!
