During the EA Summer Showcase, EA and Bioware revealed some details of the upcoming Nintendo Wii U version of Mass Effect 3. In addition to the extended cut DLC that will be included and the Wii U gamepad exclusive features, Mass Effect 3 Wii U will include something to help those new to the series to catch up.

Due to the fact that the first Mass Effect game is a Microsoft exclusive, you may remember that when Mass Effect 2 was released on the PlayStation 3 platform, an interactive comic was present, that recalled the events of the first game and offered you a chance to make decisions that would shape the outcome of Mass Effect 2. In that same respect, the Wii U version of Mass Effect 3 will include an interactive comic back story for Mass Effect and Mass Effect 2 since this will be the first Bioware title on a Nintendo platform.

So, unfortunately, those of you who have not played the Mass Effect series and are a Nintendo exclusive gamer, you will not be getting the first two games, however you can still catch up on the story and shape Mass Effect 3 on the Wii U with the interactive comic.

ME 3 will be a launch title for the Wii U, which still does not have an announced official release date. Are you planning on getting Mass Effect 3 for the Wii U? Sound off and discuss in the comments below!
