It’s finally here: All the news that we wanted to know about Nintendo’s next-gen system, the Wii U. Today Nintendo announced launch dates for the new home console, launch window games, prices, and more details for the system. We have all of what you need to know!
The Wii U launches in the Americas on November 18th and November 30th, 2012 in Europe. There will be two different versions of the console you can get:
- The Basic Set - Wii U in white for $299.99. It includes a white Wii U console with 8 GB of internal storage, one white GamePad controller, AC adapters for both the console and controller, a sensor bar and an HDMI cable.
- The Deluxe Set* – Wii U in black for $349.99. It includes everything from the Basic Set, plus the game Nintendo Land, 32 GB of internal storage instead of 8 GB, a console stand, GamePad charging cradle and a stand that allows users to place the GamePad vertically on a table.
*One should note: If you get the Deluxe Set, you will be enrolled in the Deluxe Digital Promotion, which lets Wii U owners receive points for each digital download and redeem those points for future downloadable content from the Nintendo eShop (through 2014).
What about the games? Well, we have a list of all the games that are set to be released in the launch window for you (launch window: November. 18, 2012 – March 2013). Not all games have official release dates yet and release dates are subject to change.
