For the past week gamers have been looking to October 23, 2012 for PlayStation’s big reveal. They teased a series of videos: “The Reload,” “The Arrival,” and “The Aftermath.” Many ideas and rumors came up as to what it could be for. The most common theories were that the teasers were for a commercial for PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale and that it was a revival of last year’s “Michael” commercial that kicked off Sony’s Long Live Play campaign. Well, 10/23 is here, and so is PlayStation’s big reveal.
Without much surprise, most people were correct when guessing that it was related to PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale and Michael. PlayStation has revealed a new video, “The All-Star.” This new video, as noted by Mike Webster (Director, PlayStation First Party Games) is a “continuation of [Michael] as it was made as a tribute to gamers, tapping into PlayStation’s legendary history and featuring some of the your most beloved franchises in our first ever cross-over fighting game.”
To promote the upcoming launch of the PS brawler, the live action short, “The All-Star,” featuring some iconic PlayStation characters is up and ready for you to view. Check it out below:
PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale will drop on November 20, 2012 for PlayStation 3 and PS Vita.
