Abrams, Newell Want to Make Portal or Half-Life Movie Together

Wrapping up the keynote at this year’s D.I.C.E. summit, film producer/director/writer J.J. Abrams, and Gabe Newell co-founder of Valve, ended their panel with a bit of interesting movie and gaming news.

According to the duo, they are looking forward to possibly making either a Half-Life or Portal movie together, in addition to possibly working on some games together. In Newell’s words, “We’re going to try and figure out if we can make a Half-Life movie or a Portal movie together.” Abrams added that he even has a game idea that he would like to work on with Valve.

The story is still developing so details are few.

J.J. Abrams is noted for his work in Sci-Fi including the revival of the Star Trek film franchise in addition to being tacked on to the Disney Star Wars films. Would you like to see him work on a Half-Life or Portal movie?
