Well, if there’s one thing I have learned over the past few years – Capcom loves crossovers. The latest? Well, you saw the title. Yes, Capcom and Valve have announced a Resident Evil 6 x Left 4 Dead 2 project. Characters from Left 4 Dead 2 will be featured exclusively in the PC version of Resident Evil 6, and enemies from Resident Evil 6 will make appearances in the PC version of Left 4 Dead 2. This content will be free for both games.
Here’s a brief trailer for the project:
As for the details, here’s what we know -
On the Resident Evil 6 side of things, gamers will be able to select one of four survivors from Left 4 Dead 2’s cast:
These characters will be available when playing PC exclusive mode, The Mercenaries No Mercy, with special customized weapon load-outs. Plus, two Special Infected zombies from the Left 4 Dead – the Witch and Mini Tank – will also make a cameo appearance in this mode. The new content will automatically be downloaded in the background to all owners of the PC version of Resident Evil 6 from April 5.
Now for owners of Left 4 Dead 2, there will be some Resident Evil 6 enemies making an appearance:
Owners of the PC version of Left 4 Dead 2 will be able to fight these monsters this spring.
