Microsoft has finally announced the launch date for the next-gen Xbox One. Coming only a week after the PlayStation 4’s initial launch, the Xbox One has been scheduled to be released on November 22, 2013. Fun fact: The Xbox 360 was also launched on November 22, 2005, so Microsoft will be celebrating not only a new launch but an anniversary too! This November 22 date will see the system’s launch in the following territories:

Australia, Austria, Brazil, Canada, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, New Zealand, Spain, UK, and USA.

Odd that they’re choosing to release a week after the PS4 considering Microsoft is reportedly well under way in XB1 production already. Also, the PS4 is apparently going to be in thirty markets by the end of November while XB1 will only launch in thirteen. Weird strategy.
