Rage [Review]
Posted on January 4, 2012 | No CommentsBethesda Game Studios has been one of the critical darlings of the gaming industry, with landmark franchises such as Fallout and The Elder Scrolls under their belt, however I have never been particularly fond of their offerings. Save for the recently released Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, their games have not moved or engrossed me in any meaningful way and I have often considered them to be overrated. Rage treads familiar territory with it's combination of first-person shooter mechanics and RPG questing and exploration, and despite a few noticeable drawbacks, it has enough strengths to appeal to fans of both gameplay styles. -
Assassin’s Creed: Revelations [Review]
Posted on November 25, 2011 | No CommentsThe Assassin's Creed series has been one of the benchmarks of this current gaming generation, combining an innovative parkour-style gameplay and stunning open-world gameplay. Yearly releases may have dulled the sense of wonder and discovery, but fans of the series have consistently been treated to a strong, story-driven experience that has remained consistently strong over four games. Assassin's Creed: Revelations attempts to bring the characters and events of the first three games full circle. Does this conclusion to the Assassin's Creed storyline do the series justice, or is an ending on a low note? -

Artful “LIMBO” Is A Must Buy [Review]
Posted on July 25, 2011 | 1 CommentLIMBO is but a single-serving puzzler experience, but it’s an austere, sometimes taxing one-and-done experience that’s well worth having. It isn’t every day that a game with virtually no intrinsic replay value that won’t take most much more than a day to complete is a highly recommended “buy.” -
Thoughts [So Far] On “Uncharted 3″ – Multiplayer Beta
Posted on July 19, 2011 | No CommentsThe PS3 titles I could rattle off when running down the most enjoyable and essential multi-player experiences the console offers wouldn’t ordinarily include the Uncharted franchise in general. No pot-shot...
